Enable Night Mode on Facebook Android

Official, there is no update on the night mode for Facebook in the official app. But you can use the Chrome browser on your Android and enable a dark theme. Then you can open any site including Facebook.com and you will see the dark UI. Alternatively, you can use the UC browser to activate the Night Mode on the UC browser and then go to Facbeook.com and you will Facebook in the dark theme or black user interface.

Alternatively, give a try to use Facebook alternative apps such as Maki and Friendly for Facebook. These apps are available in the Google Play Store and they are completely free. You can go ahead and install these apps, activate the night mode from the app’s settings and you are good to go. Moreover, these have almost a similar feature to the Facebook official app.

You can always go back and disable the option whenever you want. However, the choice is yours if you want to leave it as it is. I don’t how it sounds but for your information, you may visit other sites and those sites will be also in the Night Mode. If it is annoying to you then go ahead and disable it. If you are using Facebook on your Android phone using a web browser and you need dark mode then I will suggest you use the UC browser.

The Night option is easy to enable and disable. All is I can suggest using the UC browser if you are using it for Facebook only instead of Chrome. You can stop using these browsers on your Android for Facebook dark mode once you get the official dark mode on the official Facebook app.

Alternative Methods to Enable Facebook Dark Mode

As I mentioned earlier in this guide, I have told you that there is no official way to enable Facebook dark mode in the official app. However, you can follow the above methods for using Facebook in the web browser on your Android device.

There are alternative apps available in the Google Play Store to try out. The apps are totally and most trusted ones. These are trusted because of over a million downloads and an average rating of 4.3 in the Play Store. Yet, no one has commented on privacy and related issues while using the apps. The one is Maki and the second is Friendly for Facebook. Simply any of these apps and activate the Night mode from their settings. Facebook will adopt the black theme you can enjoy using Facebook at night.
