How to Enable Instagram Dark Mode
Recently Instagram released the official Dark Mode. But don’t worry you can get without Android 10 and iOS 13. The official dark theme is now built-in the app, all you have to do is to get the latest version of IG and you are good to go. So when you enable the Android or iOS night mode, Instagram will automatically turn dark. You also don’t need to root or restart your device.

Enable Official Instagram Dark Mode
As of today Mar-2020, you should update your IG app to the latest version. Then follow these steps to activate the dark theme:
- Open the Instagram app.
- Go to your profile then tap the Menu.
- Now tap Settings.
- Tap the Theme option.
- Select the Dark option and done.

Alternative Method to Enable Instagram Dark Mode
Below is for Android users only because I don’t know if the app I am gonna show you is available in Apple App Store or not. But it is available in Google Play Store and you can get it with ease. However, you can search for a similar app in the iOS App Store too. Yet, the app is trusted and I am using it for months.

In this guide, I will show you how to get a dark theme for Instagram without Android 10. There is no need to have Android 9 and another version, but you must have Android 6 Marshmallow or above OS. I have not tested it in the below version but you can give it a try. However, let dive into the procedure.
How to Enable Instagram Dark Mode without Android 10
You can not just get into the settings on our device and tweak some of them to enable it. Because you and I are not developers. There is an easy way to do it, which is my personal one. To turn on night mode:
- Go to Google Play Store.
- Search for Dark Mode by Julian Eggers, install the app.
- Open the app and allow it when it asks for permission.
- Select the Night Mode and you are good to go.
