Facebook is the best, easy to use, and most secure social media platform that connects users around the world. They have added tons of features and fixes. However, the one we will be talking about today is Reaction Preferences. I know it’s been months but now the feature is more stable and easy to use. That is why I wanna show you what is the reaction preferences on Facebook how it works, and also how to enable and disable this in the settings.
Actually, the Reaction Preferences feature on Facebook allows you to hide and unhide the total number of reactions on posts you have created on your Facebook Profile or News Feed. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to hide such counts for a specific post. If Facebook adds such a feature in the upcoming updates, we will definitely update this article.
What are Reaction Preferences on Facebook?
Facebook has introduced the Reaction Preferences under the “Preferences” section in Settings. It’s available on all devices, e.g. Facebook web version on PC, and the Facebook app. The feature lets you hide and unhide the total number of reactions on all of the posts you have created on your profile or news feed. Once you enable this setting, people won’t be able to see the total number of reactions to any of your Facebook posts. However, you can choose to disable this setting and let people see the same as before.
However, keep in mind that you cannot do this for an individual or specific Facebook post. In short, once you enable the feature, the number of reactions to all your posts will remain hidden from people/friends/ and or the public.
Moreover, If you create posts from other places e.g. Pages and Stories, Groups, Marketplace, etc. Everyone on Facebook will be able to see its reactions count. Though Facebook will show you (only you) each of your post’s reactions counts. So don’t worry about that, once turn on the settings, just open a post you have made on Facebook in an incognito window to check if it is working. Of course, it will. For your information now you can also choose to undo the reaction you have made on other posts on Facebook and Messenger.

This will completely hide such counts on the posts you have created on your timeline or news feed. If you post in other places e.g. pages, stories, etc. Facebook won’t hide those number of reactions. This is limited to your profile and news feed posts only. If you are using the Facebook web version on your computer. Then follow these steps instead:
